How To Build Your Own Sukkah (Tabernacle) Inexpensively

Materials Needed:
8 Large Tree Stakes
Twine
Three large painter's canvasses
(4) Long screws and screwdriver
(you may want to pre-drill holes)
Staple gun
Pole pounder

STEP ONE: Pound in your posts (tree stakes) using a pole pounder.  Ensure you use your posts to measure out the right distances between each post.
STEP TWO: Pre drill holes and screw in two opposite cross posts to their respective vertical posts.
STEP THREE: Set your two remaining top cross posts on top of the screwed in posts and then tie together with twine.  Use the twine to wrap across the top posts north/south and east/west to form the top cover that will hold the foliage.
STEP FOUR: Attach back and side walls of the Sukkah using painter's tarps.  Staple to posts and pull tight for nice straight walls that won't flap around in the wind.
STEP FIVE: Cut foliage to place on top for roof.  Ensure enough coverage for shade, but leave it sparce enough to still be able to see the night sky through the foliage.
STEP FIVE: Begin to decorate...have fun and be creative!  We hang the kid's craft projects throughout the week as well as have everyone who comes to our Sukkah sign it with fabric markers.  Now you are ready to celebrate, enjoy and rejoice for we have come through the judgment sucessfully having our sins forgiven through the blood of the Messiah, therefore we present the wave offering of the Lord as a sign of our acquittal (being declared not guilty) before the Holy Heavenly Court.
